Humanizing Social Media
If you're anything like me, when I started using Instagram to focus on growing my network marketing business, I knew how to comment on posts and do basic things in my stories, but I had no idea how to strategize using the platform for business growth.
I was used to posting random pictures of myself and my family whenever I felt like it. There was no forethought to it.
All I could think was:
- How in the world am I going to attract new connections and business?
- How does this work?
- How long does this take?
If you're thinking the same thing, don't worry, I've got a simple 3 tip strategy for you to start using daily to get things rolling:
- Spend 5 to 10 minutes commenting on posts that pertain to your ideal client. Leave meaningful comments on their posts and in their stories.
- Spend 5 to 10 minutes responding to the comments from your previous posts, and feel free to respond with questions to keep the conversation going in the comments
- Post something humanizing about you and your regular life in your stories and include an engagement tool to get some conversations going in your DMs
NOW post your content for the day, and make sure it's educational, inspiring, and entertaining.
This strategy is how you not only grow engagement but also start to create connections and build relationships with the folks you're interacting with. It humanizes the interactions and feels authentic.
It's my fav thing about using social media. Really connecting with comments and direct messages that are heartfelt and honest.
